Car to be at auction 10/26/10
www.barons-auctions.com/details.php

Auction description:
Manufacturer Austin Healey
Model 100/4
First Registered 1953
Registration No VYJ866
Engine No Not Quoted
Chassis No BN1-L/150250
MOT June 2011
Colour Red/Ivory
Offered here is a relatively early example of the 100/4, which was imported from the USA in 1993. The car underwent a comprehensive, body-off, restoration during 2005/2006 by Austin Healey specialist D. J. Grove Restorations, when it was also converted to RHD. A photographic file of that restoration forms part of the huge history file that accompanies the car, which also contains invoices and history of the car. There is also a Heritage Certificate, a service manual and a parts catalogue.

Finished in glorious red over ivory with red leather seats, piped white and red interior, the car sits on ivory wire wheels and is presented in truly outstanding condition.

Estimate £34000-37000

Stunning color combination, the 100-S painted wire wheels really set off the paint scheme!

I am nearly done restoring an BT-7 and am thinking of using a colour scheme like this one. Could you please advise what the name is for the red colour used here, and paint code ?

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
