This 1956 Austin-Healey 100M BN2 Roadster was built in October 1955 and is one of 640 100M examples produced over a 10-month span. It reportedly remained with its original owner until 1991, received a cosmetic refurbishment in 1999, and was acquired by the current owner in 2004. The car is finished in Carmine Red over black leather and powered by a numbers-matching 2,660cc inline-four mated to a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Equipment includes 15″ wire wheels, a black soft top, a louvered hood with a leather tie-down, a folding windshield, a heater, and a black tonneau cover. An oil change was carried out in November 2021. This 100M is now offered on dealer consignment in California with service records, a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate, a 100M Registry Certificate of Membership, a tool kit, and a clean Maryland title.

The selling dealer states that a rotisserie-style bare-metal repaint in Carmine Red was carried out in 1999. Equipment includes a black soft top, a fold-down windshield, chrome bumpers with overriders, grille badges, and a louvered hood with a leather tie-down. A black tonneau cover is included.

Painted 15″ wire wheels with two-eared knockoffs are mounted with period-style Dunlap Classic Range Nylon tires. Braking is handled by drums at all four corners.

The cabin is upholstered in black and the seats and transmission tunnel pad have been retrimmed in black leather with red piping. Additional equipment includes a heater, rubber floor mats, and a dash-mounted rearview mirror.

The 2,660cc inline-four was factory-rated at 110 horsepower and features twin SU HD6 carburetors, 8.1:1-compression pistons, a high-lift camshaft, and a cold-air box. An oil change was carried out in November 2021.

The engine tag is stamped with 1B229028M, which matches the number listed on the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual gearbox with overdrive. The transmission was reportedly overhauled in 2007 by Fourintune of Cedarburg, Wisconsin.

The British Motor Industry Heritage Certificate lists the factory colors and powertrain numbers and identifies the car as a factory 100M. A 100M Registry Certificate of Membership is included.
