Bought from Virgil Hogan, of Eugene, OR. He bought it new/slightly used- he worked at a British Car dealership in Eugene, OR. Car was originally Carmine Red but Virgil said he was tired of not being seen, so he painted it bright yellow. He said he sold the original motor (and possibly trans) to a Healey owner in Sisters, Oregon back in the 70's when he was converting car to a v8. He never completed swap and I bought it from him after it sat in his dry garage for 30 years. If anyone knows has original engine and a bn2 transmission, I'm looking for them!

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
