This 1956 Austin-Healey 100-6 BN4 is a 4-seat roadster finished in green over a cream leather interior and powered by a 2.6L inline-six paired with a 4-speed manual transmission with a factory Laycock overdrive unit. The included Heritage Certificate shows the car to have been built for US export and originally finished in 2-tone green and ivory. A cosmetic and mechanical refurbishment was reportedly undertaken around 10 years ago, and the seller purchased it from a mutual friend of the restorer in 2013. Approximately 7k miles have been driven since and the car has been exhibited at regional shows, with awards from several included. An oil change and inspection was conducted in preparation for the sale. This BN4 is registered to the seller's business in British Columbia and offered with refurbishment photos, side curtains, a fabric top, a tonneau cover, and a tool kit.

Originally finished in Florida Green and Ivory according to the Heritage Certificate, the body was repainted maroon by a previous owner before being stripped and refinished in its current green around 2008. The paintwork is shown under several lighting conditions. The seller notes a blemish on the driver's door.

Chrome knock-off wires have replaced the factory disc wheels, and new Continental ProContact radial tires were installed shortly after the seller acquired the car in 2013. A snap-on cockpit tonneau is shown above, and a black folding top side curtains.

Originally black, the cockpit was fitted with tan upholstery with dark green piping and carpeting during the refurbishment. This example is a four-seat roadster, and the rear row of seating is pictured in gallery photographs below. A heater and switch-operated Laycock de Normanville overdrive were originally specified and remain equipped.

A wood-rimmed Moto-Lita steering wheel replaces the original. Approximately 13k miles are shown on the odometer, with around 7k driven by the seller.

The full-size spare wire wheel is finished in silver, and the jack, wheel removal mallet, and other tools are included.

The 2,639cc BMC C-Series inline-six is paired with a 4-speed manual transmission and Laycock de Normanville overdrive unit. The drivetrain has reportedly been maintained by a retired local mechanic during the seller's ownership.

The fuel pump was replaced in 2014, and only basic service has been required since according to the seller. An oil change and inspection were performed in preparation for the sale.

The black folding top and framework are pictured here with a new set of side curtains. An additional set of older side curtains is also included.

A collection of photos documenting the refurbishment process is included in the sale.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
