Seen on eBay, April 2007. Ad reads:

"True Classic 1959 Austin Healey 100-6 type BN4

I have owned this car for over 30 years and have decided to sell it. It's a great car and with a little TLC it could be beautiful!

* Solid, all original body - never hit or wrecked - cowling is aluminum - remainder of body is steel.
* inline Healey 6 cyl - 2639 cc (161 cu in) - runs strong - has mild street cam by Crower, chrome-moly pushrods, and steel tube headers. I have the original factory manifold and downpipes
* original 4 speed transmaiision with working electric overdrive on 3rd and 4th gears.
* factory hardtop - needs to be painted and replace gasket sealing it to the body - window is in great shape!
* new soft top still in the box - never installed- with new top frame and bows
* newer side curtains
* tonneau cover- was with the car when I bought it- may be original - needs some stitching repair
* Walbro Autopulse fuel pump with dual filters
* Silicone brake and clutch fluid
* original wire wheels with radial tires (70% tread ) and inner tubes
* Lucas Sport Coil
* Electric cooling fan
* Original working Radiomobile vibrator type AM radio
* Turn signal/horn actuator(trafficator) is missing but available from Moss or other sources.
* water temp portion of dual oil press/water temp does not work. An aftermarket temp gage was instaled. Oil pressure gage section does work.
* Aftermarket ammeter installed
* Wipers, lights, brake lights, fuel gage all work
* Chrome is all complete and not rusted or excessively pitted
* frame is solid except for left front outrigger stub which has been poorly repaired - See photo. Not pretty but it works. I would recommend a proper repair.
* Car was originally red with black. Was painted white in early 70's. Paint looks good from a distance but has many small blisters from being stored a year under a damp car cover in a garage with a leaky roof. .
* Car originally had the two tiny seats in the back - a 4 seater. These were removed and covered over with sheet metal held by screws and carpet. It could easily be returned to original configuration. I may be able to find the original seat pans.

This car has been in storage for most of the past 10 years. it has not been registered or road driven during that time. It has been started and driven around the block several times a year. I recently drained, removed and cleaned out the fuel tank and replaced the diaphragn in the fuel pump, cleaned the carbs. It starts, runs great. Brakes and clutch work but should be bled. I would recommend trailering this car to your destination until you can go over it thoroughly. It is being sold "as is" with no warranty of any kind. "

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
