For sale on e-bay: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1958-Austin-Healey-100-6-2-Seater-Roadster-Very-Rare-/3605045 ...

This stunning and rare 1958 Austin Healey 100/6 Roadster was supplied new to BMC South Africa on October 10th 1958. This makes our car the desirable combination of an original right hand drive 2 seater from a dry climate. The car remained in South Africa until it was brought back to the UK in 1990. It was specified with Wire Wheels and Overdrive but less Heater.

I have been out in the car today (inbetween showers!) and can report that it drives very well. The engine is sweet and the exhaust note is addictive. The only modifications from standard are inertia reel seatbelts and an electronic fan.

We have a great history file with the car with details of all expenditure since it came to the UK.

The interior is finished in black leather with dark grey carpets. There is an excellent soft top, side screen and a tonneau cover. The body is finished in Colorado red which sets the cars off beautifully against the new chrome wire wheels. Although the car looks fantastic, poor pre paint preparation has caused localised bubbling in several areas.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
