This particular example has been privately entered and the owner believes that it has only had two previous keepers in its entire life and is sure in his own mind that the 70,631 miles showing on the odometer is correct from new. The car underwent some major restoration in the late 1980's and is still in good condition today and indeed comes with its heritage certificate and has three times finished the RAC Classic Run.
The BJ8 is indeed the most sought after of all the Healey 3000's and being an original UK car it is a highly desirable car. The new owner may need to undertake some work if he decides to make this a pristine example but we wouldn't as this is a very good car, extremely solid and correct and we are assured a really good car to drive.
We believe him.

I owned EBY 77B BJ8 for a short period in early 2000s and wish I had kept it as bought for circ £12k and sold for circa £14k from memory!
If you own it now would love to know it's whereabouts, I drove it in Leamington Spa
