Current bid $6,377, no reserve, 10 bids, 4 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
A very complete, straight, Austin Healey 3000 Mk. III Phase II single light Sports Convertible. This vehicle was originally the desirable color scheme of Healey Blue/ Navy blue trim & top, and has been painted only once over it's original factory paintwork. It is a totally complete, matching #'s vehicle with it's original drivetrain, with excellent front and rear shrouds and an accident-free body.

BODY: This vehicle has recently been removed from 25+ years of storage, and has never been taken apart. Very decent body overall, with no signs of bondo or filler. Excellent fitting grille and headlight/sidelight areas. Excellent shrouds, front & back, with no signs of damage or corrosion. Small dent under right side of grille. Nice, straight, well-fitting trunk lid with typical minor rust-through @ lower edge. Nice, solid, straight doors. Fenders are straight and bondo free, but need typical rust repair on lower bottoms. Left hand rear fender has some pinholing rust-through along top edge. Nice straight hood.

CHASSIS: Good solid mainrails. Chassis appears very solid with no rust through areas from front of vehicle to back. Typical Healey rust repair to the inner/outer rockers, outriggers, doglegs, and some floor toeboards. Trunk floor appears o.k. with some rust-through in corners. Some slight rust-through on top of mainrail on passenger side. Front bumper mounting "horns" need some repair/replacement. Overall, mainrails are solid with only some minor sagging @ door gaps. Doors open and close o.k.

MECHANICS: Totally original and complete mechanicals. All correct suspension/brakes/smooth turning steering box, etc. Engine is "stuck" from sitting, but have not tried to break it loose. Transmission shifts freely through all the gears. Car rolls and steers fine. Mileage on speedometer states "02604" (possibly 102,604). Very original and un-touched engine bay.

TRIM: Very original car with mostly original navy blue interior (now tired). Completely correct & original top frame/seats, gauges, rear seat assembly, door panels, all original Triplex glass (in good shape), steering wheel and trafficator. Complete with all original chrome trim (decent and straight) that needs replating.

Overall, this Big Healey is a desirable, Phase II push button door model with the later, revised, raised rear suspension. It is an honest-appearing Healey Blue car that is in need of straightforward restoration with solid mainrails and needing typical Healey rust repair. This grand tourer represents an opportunity to secure an original and complete example of the marque.

Car comes with 60-spoke wire wheels and a 4-speed O/D transmission. Vehice is sold with a clear Florida title.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
