It is finished in green over black and powered by a 2.9-liter inline-six mated to a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a black soft top, electric overdrive, 15″ knock-off wheels, dual carburetors, and Smiths instrumentation. Service during current ownership included repairing the exhaust system, the charging system, and the overdrive unit. This BJ8 is now offered with service records dating to 1992 and Maine registration.

The exterior was repainted in green in 2000, at which time the grille and rear fenders were replaced and the grille surround was rechromed. Equipment includes a black soft top, vent windows, twin exhaust tips, and chrome bumpers and trim.

Chrome 15″ knock-off wire wheels were fitted in 2000 and are mounted with Pacemark tires. The car is equipped with front disc brakes. The brake lines and one wheel cylinder were replaced during current ownership.

The 2+2 cabin features seats trimmed in black vinyl, along with a matching center console, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes a heater, a wood dashboard, and a locking glovebox. The fuel gauge, left door handle, blower, and turn signals were repaired and the heater controls and cables were replaced during current ownership.

The banjo-style steering wheel sits ahead of Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 140-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 58k miles, approximately 1k of which were added during current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The 2.9-liter inline-six is equipped with dual carburetors and a high-torque starter. Service during current ownership included repairing the exhaust system and charging system. An oil change and an inspection were performed in July 2022.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The electronic overdrive unit was repaired during current ownership.

Service records dating to 1992 are included in the sale.

Lot #129070

This 1967 Austin-Healey 3000 BJ8 Mk III was refurbished between 1995 and 2000, and it was listed on BaT in September 2022 before it was acquired by the selling dealer in August 2023. It is finished in green over black and is powered by a 2.9-liter inline-six mated to a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Equipment includes a black soft top and boot, 15″ knock-off wire wheels, power-assisted front disc brakes, dual SU carburetors, and Smiths instrumentation. Work under current ownership reportedly included an oil change, replacing the right-rear tire, and removing the rear exhaust resonators. This BJ8 is now offered by the selling dealer with a Maine title.

The exterior was repainted in green in 2000, at which time the grille and rear fenders were replaced and the grille surround was re-chromed. Equipment includes a black soft top and boot, twin exhaust tips, and chrome-plated bumpers with overriders. There is a split in the top material above the right window, the hood trim is distorted, and the lower portion of the trunk lid stands proud of the body when closed.

Chrome-plated 15″ knock-off wire wheels wear three 165-series Metric Radial tires, and a 165-series Nexen SB-802 tire was installed on the right-rear wheel under current ownership. The car is equipped with power-assisted front disc and rear drum brakes.

The refurbished 2+2 cabin features seats trimmed in black vinyl, along with a color-coordinated center console, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes a heater, a wood dashboard, and a locking glovebox.

The banjo-style steering wheel sits ahead of Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 140-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 58k miles, approximately 75 miles of which were added during current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The 2.9-liter inline-six is equipped with dual SU carburetors and a high-torque starter. Service in preparation for the sale included an oil change, checking the fluids, and lubricating the chassis.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with an electrically-actuated overdrive unit. The frame was repaired and the floor pans were replaced during the refurbishment, and the selling dealer states that the front cross member was reinforced and rusted rear exhaust resonators were removed under current ownership.

The current Maine title carries a “warrany title for antique vehicle” notation.
