Ebay item 11/3/08
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Austin-3000-MKIII-1967-Austin-Healey-3000-MKIII_W0QQitem ...
Car has a buy it now price of $89,500 for 4 days.
Sellers description:
Only 17,712 Mk IIIs were built and its attributes have made it the most desirable among collectors. The example presented here is reportedly one of the last 50 Austin-Healeys sold by Mr. Healey after he decided to close the plant. With less than 18,000 original miles, it has experimental widetrack wheels and benefits from an original interior and an excellent repaint. The bright work, from the wire wheels to the rear luggage rack, is of a very high caliber and is commensurate with the quality of the beautiful gold paint and black top. The quality of the interior and black upholstery, free of any noticeable defects, is remarkably well preserved and indicative of the car's low mileage, as is the lovely wood dash and crisp, clean gauges. With few signs of road use, the engine bay is excellent as well and has benefited from professional attention. Accompanied by its original handbook and services booklet, this Austin-Healey 3000 is a desirable automobile indeed. It is an excellent example of the last and best of the BJ8s, benefiting from greater horsepower, low mileage, and gorgeous, timeless styling.
