1961 Austin Healey 3000 Mark 2
Chassis number:HBT714945
Registration number: 234MYD

The Corgi car! This car is the actual car used as a model by Corgi to produce their scale model of the Healey 3000. The car comes with one of the Corgi models in its original box.

The car is very original in condition having had just two formed keepers. During that tenure it has covered a scant 63,000 miles from new. The car comes to us with a large history file verifying the mileage.

To the interior is black hide piped in cream with matching black carpets. The exterior is Old English White/ivory with the paintwork being in first rate condition. The car comes with its original hard top, also painted in matching white.

Under the bonnet the car is in very tidy good original order. The engine starts & runs well & pulls strongly in all gears fed by its triple carburetors. The car sits on four wire wheels with knock off hubs, the 5th being stored in the boot. There is a full tonneau cover for the car.

These original low ownership cars have become very difficult to find as most have been extensively restored. The car comes with excellent provenance & has the benefit of being the Corgi model car when new. It is in stock now & ready for immediate viewings.

Seller's description:

Austin Healey 3000 1961 MK II BT7 Tri-Carb

1961 Austin Healey 3000 MKII Chassis number H-BT714945 Registration number 234MYD

The car is in very original condition having had just three formed keepers. During that tenure it has covered a scant 63,000 miles from new. Restored between 1991 and 1993 by TT Workshops of Westbury, Wiltshire at a cost of circa £83,000, it was rightly described in 1997 as in concours condition in all respects.

The exterior is Old English White/Ivory with the paintwork being in first rate condition with the panel gaps and shut lines excellent. The car comes with its original hard top, also painted in matching white. The interior is black hide piped in cream with matching black carpets. Under the bonnet the car is in very tidy good original order. The engine starts & runs well & pulls strongly in all gears fed by its original triple carburettor setup. A full lead free conversion was completed to the cylinder-head 18 months ago. The car sits on four 72 spoke painted wire wheels with knock off hubs. The full wet weather gear set of a tonneau cover and hood is complete with the car.

These original UK RHD Home Market low ownership cars have become very difficult to find as most now do not exist. The car comes with excellent provenance & has the benefit of being the Corgi model car when new. The car comes with one of the Corgi models in its original box.

This vehicle has recently undergone a mechanical overhaul by ourselves at JME Healeys to bring the car up to our standards mechanically and for reliability and driving refinement. New Blockley 185 radial tyres have been fitted by ourselves. The underside has been wax oil protected to repel and resist future corrosion.

This desirable and rare RHD 3000 Mk II is offered for sale on behalf of the current owner and is complete with detailed restoration, history and receipt file verifying the mileage. UK V5C Registration Document, Original buff logbook, Heritage certificate and MOT. Recent invoices of all recent work completed by ourselves at JME is supplied.
