A BRITISH THOROUGH BRED

To enable the Big Healey to be competitive in the 3.0ltr category the 3000 Mk1 gained its 3.0ltr engine and front disc brakes. And what a difference this made. The Big Healey was regarded as 'The Car' to beat in International Rallying.

An extensive mechanical rebuild was undertaken, including a fully rebuilt and blue printed engine by The Healey Factory including Triple Weber Carburettors, Forged Pistons and Harmonic Balancer. This has enhanced the engine's performance with out sacrificing the Big Healey's ease of driving. The gearbox was rebuilt at the same time.

This matching number 3000 Mk1 is finished in Blue Metallic over White with a fully re-trimmed Tan Interior, complete with a period HMV radio.

The Hood, Tonneau Cover and Sidescreens are all in excellent condition. A set of Chrome Wire Wheels add to its appeal. It is now fitted with an Alternator and Thermatic Cooling Fan.

To be sold with a Vic RWC.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
