Ebay item 10/27/07
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Austin-Healey-100-4-100-4-100-4-1955-Austin-Healey-100-4 ...
Current bid $27,600 reserve not met, 15 bids, 1 day left in auction.
Sellers description:
This example has a exceptionally nice body panels and a straight chassis that has survived the ravages 54 years of elements and road use without any major mishaps. It appears to still be equipped with its original engine and unique 3 speed overdrive transmission. It appears to always have had sympathetic owners that have maintained and cared for it throughout its entire life. Recent work includes new front suspension kingpins and bushings, rebuilt front and rear shocks, entire new clutch assembly, carb overhaul, differential overhaul, new fuel pump, new stainless exhaust system, new fuel tank A nice driving car, that will give years of pleasure.
Driving Impressions: This car runs and drives so smoothly it is hard to believe that it is over 50 years old. The transmission shifts excellently and quietly in all gears. the overdrive allows you to cruise comfortably at 80 MPH. The survival rate of these early classic four cylinders was much lower than any of the six cylinder series that make up a majority of these Healeys. Rarely does an example as good and solid as this one come on the market. Car runs, drives and sounds just as it should. It would be an enjoyable, usable quality addition to anyone's collection.
Starts easily runs smooth and quiet and has plenty of power.
Very nice refinish in red enamel over very sold body panels.
Very attractive painted dash and nicely done seats and carpets. New panel kit. Trunk fitted with black hardura as original.
