Private Party or Dealer: Dealer

This 1954 Austin-Healey 100 BN1 roadster was refurbished in 2017 and is powered by a 2,660cc inline-four paired with a 3-speed overdrive transmission. Work performed during the refurbishment is said to have included a repaint in two-tone red over black, a replacement black and red interior, a gearbox overhaul, and rebuilds of the carburetors and distributor. Equipment includes a 100M-style air box and louvered hood, Pertronix electronic ignition, a Denis Welch Motorsport aluminum timing cover, a stainless steel exhaust system, and a black Stayfast soft top. This BN1 was acquired by the selling dealer in 2018 and is now offered with a set of Stayfast side curtains, a tonneau cover, a spare tire, and a clean North Carolina title. The seller reports that chrome accents were added to the exterior during that time, and the car is equipped with a 100M grille emblem and a 100M-style louvered hood secured with a leather strap.

Stainless steel 15″ wire wheels wear 185/65 Pirelli P4 tires. New wheel cylinders were reportedly installed during the refurbishment, as well as new brake drums, shoes, hoses, and lines. The replacement Stayfast soft top is shown fitted above and from a variety of angles in the gallery below.

The refurbished interior features black leather upholstery with red piping. Other features include black door panels and carpets, as well as an aluminum dash panel housing replacement gauges. New cables for the emergency brake, choke, hood release, speedometer, and tachometer were also reportedly added during the refurbishment, as was Dynamat Xtreme heat insulation. The 5-digit odometer shows approximately 900 miles.

A dash-mounted plaque states that the car has received performance modifications in the style of the 100M Le Mans cars.

The 2,660cc inline-four is mated to a 3-speed manual transmission with overdrive, which was reportedly overhauled by Quantum Mechanics of Oxford, Connecticut with new switches and solenoids. According to the seller, this car is equipped with a 100M air box, and other work that is said to have been performed during the refurbishment included:

Rebuilds of the SU carburetors

New belts, hoses, and thermostat

Rebuilt distributor with concealed Pertronix electronic ignition

New spark plugs and wires

New aluminum oil pan and rear main seal

Denis Welch Motorsport aluminum timing cover

New fuel lines, hoses, and pump

Fuel tank was cleaned and coated and received a new sending unit

New wiring harness

New heat shields on the firewall

New stainless steel exhaust system

The seller reports that the front end has been rebuilt with new ball joints and king pins, along with new or rebuilt shocks where necessary.

A set of Stayfast side curtains with storage bags are included in the sale, as is a black tonneau cover.
