Family heirloom! My dad bought it in 1956 from a little old lady who had it for 6 months. Has survived two sons, multiple paint schemes and a 10 year life in S. Cal.
Waiting for time to restore to original color (white over black) and use as occasional driver.

Auction description:

Fall Classic 2024 Auction Saturday, August 31

#536 - 1956 Austin Healey 100-4 BN2

Car/Eng.#: BN2L 231320

VIN: 1B231320

Just removed from long-term storage, this Austin Healey 100-4 BN2 is ready for the road, which it hasn’t seen in many years. This is the rare, and most desirable, variant with a 4-spd overdrive transmission and the cool fold-down windshield. It has been one-family owned since new and comes with the original Bill of Sale.

Exterior:

This is a complete vehicle with correct trim, lights, badging, wheels, and bumpers. The lower white section of the two-tone finish is fresh. The upper blue section shows well, but is also indicating its age. The new top keeps the rides fun when the weather isn't cooperating.

Interior:

The superb passenger area includes factory bucket seats with all new black seat covers and piping, new carpeting, and new door panels. The original steering wheel and overdrive switch finish out the stock interior.

Engine/Drivetrain:

This car drives and stops well. The 2.7L 4-Cyl. engine runs good and the 4-speed transmission and overdrive operate smoothly.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
