This Austin-Healey is finished in black with red coves and matching wire wheels. It is complete with all correct 100M Le Mans-type features and was a remarkably straight and original vehicle before restoration. Now sporting a new red and black leather interior, the interior is in exceptional condition, as is the engine bay, with its polished surfaces and twin SU carburetors. Additionally, the Healey is complete with all the correct accessories including the spare tire and rim, tools, tonneau cover, side curtains, sleek raked fold-down windshield, Lucas PL headlamps, a louvered hood and a bonnet strap.

Please note this outstanding Austin Healey is one of the 640 genuine factory-built 100M "Le Mans" cars, as confirmed by its BMIHT and "100 M Le Mans Registry" certificates, issued in 1996 and 2002, respectively. A letter written in 2004 by a previous owner, President of the Bermuda Racing Drivers Club, details the car’s exhaustive restoration and attention to detail in every respect. This factory-built car is documented by a BMIHT Certificate, as well as a registry certificate, as being one of 640 100 Ms. It is also accompanied by a selection of documentation from earlier owners, who provided detailed information on its restoration. It was originally built with left-hand drive for American export and finished in the color combination that it wears today, Black and Reno Red. It is also still powered by its original engine. This car has been well-preserved over the years, and it displays an impressive level of craftsmanship, including a new red and black interior with color-coordinated carpet and a black top. The engine bay, with its polished surfaces, is also very presentable.
Undoubtedly, this genuine factory-built 100 M Roadster will attract a great deal of attention at vintage events for its superb performance and at shows for its striking good looks.

This car was previously documented by a BMIHT Certificate as being one of the 640 100 Ms. With the current importance being placed on the provenance of these cars some issues must be noted. While the car has the chassis and body number plates on the firewall some other numbers are missing. Currently it sports a new hood; however the original hood with the correct body number has been reunited with the car; the bootlid bracket is not original, so there is no number found; the numbers on each carburetor are correct, but they do not have any hand-etched numbers; the distributor number is correct; the ignition switch faceplate is correct; the left-hand bent brace by the airbox was cut off during its restoration; the engine plate riveted to the block is missing; it doesn't have the correct intake manifolds and the cockpit surround pieces are numbered as follows: two door pieces are numbered 7066, dash pieces are numbered 2048 and the rear piece is numbered 14156.
It is still thought that this is one of the factory-built examples and it has been forwarded by those in the know that this is "a good car, but not a great car." It is accompanied by a selection of documentation from earlier owners, who provided detailed information on its restoration. It was originally built with left-hand drive for American export and finished in the color combination that it wears today, Black and Reno Red. It is still powered by its original 2,660-cc, 110-hp engine; however the current intake manifold is not original to the car. It is mated to a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. This car has been looked after over the years, and it displays an impressive level of craftsmanship, including a new red and black interior with color-coordinated carpet and a black top. The engine bay, with its polished surfaces, is also very presentable.

Après avoir produit quelque 10 000 exemplaires de BN1 en trois ans, dont plus de la moitié était exportée aux États-Unis, Austin-Healey présentait pour 1955 une nouvelle version, connue comme la BN2. Équipée en série d'une boîte quatre rapports, cette voiture était complétée par une version plus sportive, la 100 M. Ce modèle bénéficiait de carburateurs plus gros, d'un arbre à cames spécial, d'un taux de compression plus élevé (8 : 1), d'une suspension avant plus ferme, ainsi que d'un capot percés d'ouïes et tenu par une lanière en cuir. Ces modifications mécaniques, à part les pistons haute compression, pouvaient être effectuées par un agent de la marque sous la forme d'un "kit Le Mans", et les pièces correspondantes pouvaient aussi être vendues séparément. Mais les authentiques 100 M Roadster fabriquées par l'usine se sont limités à 640 exemplaires, tous parfaitement identifiés et documentés dans un registre dédié et confirmé par le British Motor Industry Heritage Trust.
La présente 100 M, fabriquée par l'usine, est accompagnée d'un certificat du BMIHT qui atteste qu'elle fait partie des 640 exemplaires. Elle comporte aussi un ensemble de documents provenant des propriétaires précédents et fournissant des informations détaillées sur sa restauration. Construite à l'origine pour être exportée aux États-Unis, elle portait alors la même teinte que celle qu'elle présente aujourd'hui, noir et rouge "Reno". De plus, elle est toujours équipée de son moteur d'origine. Cette voiture a été bien entretenue et les travaux dont elle a bénéficié sont de haut niveau, comme en témoigne la sellerie noir et rouge refaite, complétée de tapis assortis et d'une capote noire. Le compartiment moteur, avec ses surfaces polies, est aussi de belle présentation.
Il ne fait aucun doute que cette 100 M Roadster usine attirera toute l'attention du public lors d'évènements historiques et d'expositions, grâce à ses performances élevées et à son allure impressionnante.
