This 1957 Austin-Healey 100-6 is a four-seat BN4 roadster that is finished in two-tone white and black over black upholstery and is powered by a 2.6-liter inline-six mated to a four-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes a black tonneau cover, chrome bumpers with overriders, 15” wire wheels, and a Moto-Lita steering wheel. The car reportedly spent time in Arizona, New Mexico, and California, where it was acquired by the seller in 2011 and later relocated to Washington. Recommissioning in 2021 following approximately eight years of storage reportedly included rebuilding the dual SU carburetors, refreshing the brakes, and replacing the clutch and brake cylinders, radiator hoses, and fuel pump. This BN4 is now offered with an owner’s handbook, supplementary literature, service records beginning in 1991, and a Washington title in the seller’s name.
The car is said to have been previously finished in blue and was repainted two-tone white and black during prior ownership. Exterior details include a black tonneau cover, chrome bumpers with overriders, fender-mounted mirrors, and a polished fuel filler cap. Paint chips are shown in the gallery and rust is noted on the inner sills. The seller believes the car was in an accident and repaired some time ago.
Replacement chrome-finished 15” wire wheels with two-eared spinners are mounted with Vredestein Sprint Classic tires that were installed in the last two years and are reported to have fewer than 10 miles of use. The brake system was reportedly refreshed and the master cylinder and lines replaced during current ownership. The seller notes that the rear brake shoes are in need of replacement and the right-rear wheel hub requires re-sealing.
The 2+2 cabin features seats that have been re-trimmed in black upholstery with white piping. Appointments include a chrome passenger grab handle, a dash-mounted rearview mirror, and storage compartments in the doors.
A wood-rimmed Moto-Lita steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation consisting of a replacement 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 71 miles, though total mileage is unknown.
The 2.6-liter inline-six is fitted with twin SU carburetors that were rebuilt in 2021, at which time the ignition switch and coil, radiator hoses, gaskets, and fuel pump were replaced.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual gearbox with electronic overdrive, which is said to be inoperable. The clutch cylinders were replaced in 2021. Additional underside images are presented in the gallery.
Service records beginning in 1991, an owner’s handbook, supplementary literature, and two keys are included in the sale.
The Washington title is branded “Antique”.
