This 1959 Austin-Healey 100-6 is a BN4 four-seat model finished in turquoise and white over a white interior. It is powered by a 2.6-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive, and equipment includes removable side windows, a white removable soft top, a white tonneau cover, a Smiths heater, and 15″ knock-off wire wheels. The seller purchased the car in 2017, and maintenance performed since includes a valve adjustment, a new valve cover gasket, new radiator hoses, and new rear wheel cylinders and brake shoes. This 100-6 BN4 is now offered with recent service records and a clean Pennsylvania title in the seller’s name.
The body was refinished during previous ownership in turquoise and white and features wind wings, removable side windows, a white removable soft top, and a white tonneau cover.
15″ knock-off wire wheels are wrapped in 175-series Michelin Radial X tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel drums, and service performed in May 2019 included new front sway bar bushings, rear wheel cylinders, and rear brake shoes.
The interior is trimmed in white with matching carpets, door panels, and dash coverings. 100-6 BN4 models featured a 2+2 roadster configuration with seating for two rear passengers, and equipment includes a Smiths heater, black lap belts, black floor mats, and a fire extinguisher mounted under the dash.
The banjo-style steering wheel is wrapped in an aftermarket cover and fronts a 120-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 98k miles, approximately 300 of which were added by the seller in two years. True mileage is unknown.
The 2,639cc OHV inline-six features twin SU carburetors and was factory rated at 117 horsepower. Maintenance performed in May 2019 at The Porsche Specialists in Broomall, Pennsylvania, included a valve adjustment, a new valve cover gasket, replacement radiator hoses, and an oil and filter change.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with an electronically activated overdrive.
