    For sale on e-bay: cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Austin-Healey-100-6-2-seater-

This car was fully restored several years ago to a high standard. It is finished in the beautiful Healey colors of Colorado Red with Black coves. The interior was redone in black leather with red piping as original on these cars. It comes with a new soft top and restored top frame. Also has the side curtains and tonneau cover.
Mechanically, it has been completely redone with a rebuilt engine, transmission and fully rebuilt suspension and brakes. It runs, drives and stops very well. Does not smoke or make any bad noises. The wheels are new period style Minilite knock off alloy wheels and new tires.

This car is a 1958 100/6 BN6 2-seat roadster. It has a toneau cover that has a few snaps torn on it as well as a convertible top which appears to be new. The car looks nice with an older paint job in red with black lower body. The interior has just been re-done in black leather with red piping. The carpet throughout is new but does not extend under the rubber floor mats. It has a heater and the above mentioned over drive. Wheels are Minilites manufactured in the UK and have 165R15 tires on them. The tires are in good condition. The windshield has a chip in it and of course it is in front the driver. The right door handle sticks out slightly and I don't know if it needs adjustment or replacement. It works. It just sticks out a little.

Mechanically the car runs good. It does leak however. I know. I was surprised too. A British car that leaks! The underside shows some rust repairs. Again, a surprise with the oily rustproofing going on. Odometer shows 82,653 miles and is likely original, however, that can't be verified as the title shows exempt. Overall the car looks nice, runs nice and drives nice.

Details are not consistent with the BN6 . Appears to have some BN4 or BT7 interior features. Might be a rear shroud substitution to look like a two seater.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
