This 1962 Austin-Healey 3000 BJ7 Mk II is a non-running project that was acquired by the seller in 2008 and has been kept in storage since. It is finished in two-tone blue and is equipped with a 2.9-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Additional features include a black soft top, 15″ knock-off wire wheels, front disc brakes, a top boot, a removable hardtop, a hood scoop, and side windows. This 3000 Mk II is now offered in New Hampshire at no reserve with the owner’s manual, spare parts, and a clean Illinois title in the seller’s name.
Said to have been originally finished in Colorado Red, the car was repainted two-tone blue some time ago. Features include a black soft top, a top boot, a removable black hardtop, a hood scoop, side windows, fender-mounted mirrors, driving lamps, and chrome bumpers with overriders. There is rust in the trunk and floors as well as corrosion and paint loss around the body.
The 15″ knock-off wire wheels are mounted with older Pirelli tires. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums. A spare set of wire wheels accompanies the vehicle.
The front bucket and individual rear seats have been removed and are included in the sale.
The banjo-style steering wheel frames Smiths white-dial instrumentation consisting of a 120-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, a fuel-level gauge, and a combination gauge displaying oil pressure and water temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 74k miles.
The 2.9-liter inline-six is equipped with dual SU carburetors and is linked with a four-speed manual transmission. The fuel tank and battery box have been removed, and the car has not been started or run since approximately 2008.
There is rust on the frame and underside, photos of which were taken in 2011 and are viewable in the gallery along with a seller-generated list of included spare parts. The seller is unable to provide current images of the chassis.

Bought on BAT in Oct 2025. It’s close to basket case. PO said it hasn’t run in over 30 years. I’m going to make it run, then stop, then drive. After that, either do the sheet metal or sell for an easier project.
