Auction description:
1963 Austin-Healey 3000 Mk II
Lot 120
Registration Number: EU Registered
Chassis Number: H-BJ7-L/19487
This exceptionally low mileage example of the BJ7 model was manufactured in 1963 for the US market, where it remained for a number of years. It was repatriated to the UK and restored by its second owner who intended to return with the car to the US however his plans changed and the car was instead sold to the current owner in 1992 who brought the car to the Netherlands where it has stayed ever since.

Having covered less than 100 miles in the 18 years that it has been with the vendor, the Healey Ice Blue over Old English white paintwork is described as being fair and the blue leather interior and blue hood are both described as being in excellent condition. With only 8747 miles recorded, we are offering a rare opportunity to acquire an exceptionally original example of the definitive big Healey.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
