This 1963 Austin-Healey 3000 BJ7 Mk II is said to have been refurbished in 1999 and was acquired by the current owner in July 2021. Finished in red over black leather upholstery, the car is powered by a 2.9-liter inline-six mated to a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Additional equipment includes a black convertible top, a top boot, a luggage rack, fender-mounted mirrors, 15″ knock-off wire wheels, front disc brakes, and a Smiths heater. This BJ7 Mk II is now offered on dealer consignment in Missouri with a clean Tennessee title.
The car reportedly was refinished in red during the aforementioned refurbishment that was conducted under prior ownership. A black convertible top and boot are fitted in addition to a hood scoop, chrome bumpers with bumperettes, a luggage rack, fender-mounted mirrors, and polished dual exhaust outlets.
Chrome-clad 15″ knock-off 60-spoke wire wheels are mounted with 165/80 Nexen SB-802 tires. A 48-spoke spare is located in the trunk. Braking is provided by front discs and rear drums.
The interior is said to have been refurbished under previous ownership, and the front bucket and contoured rear seats are upholstered in black leather. Equipment includes a wooden shift knob, a Smiths heater, front lap belts, and a dash-mounted rearview mirror.
A banjo-style steering wheel sits ahead of Smiths instrumentation that includes a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 71k miles, approximately 300 of which have been added by the current owner. True mileage is unknown.
The 2.9-liter inline-six is equipped with twin SU carburetors, a PerTronix ignition coil, a Wizard Cooling aluminum radiator, and a chrome valve cover.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive.
