This car is left-hand drive, therefore the VIN should be HBJ8L/36050, not HBJ8/36050 as given (note: the "/" is a part of the VIN as stamped on the firewall VIN plate).

Current bid $35,300 reserve not met, 15 bids, 5 days left in auction. Car now said to be in Boise, Idaho.

Sellers description:
Just finished a complete ground up restoration on a nice 1966 BJ8 Healey. Originally BRG with black upholstery. All paint was stripped to bare metal. New trunk floor and 2 toe board sections were replaced. Painted in BRG - lighter green, as close to original as possible in acrylic urethane. This Healey has no accident history at all. Originally from Illinois, then in Utah since 1985, until I purchased it in June of 2007. Engine was removed and resealed - has excellent compression and oil pressure. New upgraded rear main oil seal was installed. Also new clutch and rebuilt brake calipers and master cylinder installed. New brake booster and carbs were rebuilt. 5 new radials, 5 new 72 spoke chrome wires. Complete new moss black vinyl interior as original. New black ever flex top. Top bows were sandblasted and painted in the original color. Tonneau and top boot are original but in good condition. Beautiful new wood dash. All new body chrome and rubber. All glass is good except small wiper mark on passenger lower corner of windshield. Windshield frame is in only fair condition - should be chromed for show condition but I restored this car as a #2 driver, not a show car. So if you’re looking for a show car, go spend $60-80,000. They are out there. This one is much less but has a lot of nice detail work. Underneath frame and suspension is painted nice. All fuel and brake lines are detailed. Runs and drives very strong. Overdrive works nice. All gears are nice. No grinding or popping out. Also has a new cloth wiring harness with the correct heater and vent hoses. Radiator and fuel tank were cleaned and tested. All gauges look excellent and function fine. New flocked glove box. Body is straight - paint is smooth - sand and buffed. Body gaps are nice but not perfect. also has a new gear reduction starter the original will go with the car.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
