Car to be at auction 8/23
www.mecum.com/lots/1091278/1965-austin-healey-3000-mkiii-sport-convertible/

Auction description:
Lot F15 // Monterey 2023
Estimate: $45,000 - $55,000
VIN / Serial HBJ8L26187
This 1965 left-hand drive 3000 MkIII BJ8 is presented in the classic combination of red with a black interior and convertible top, and it rides on chrome wire wheels with twin-eared spinners. As such, one can’t help but recall the stirring exploits of the red factory works competition cars, not least the victory in the car-breaking 1960 Liege-Rome-Liege Rally with Stirling Moss’s sister Pat at the wheel of an Austin-Healey 3000.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
