History of this Austin Healey BJ8:
Sold new in the Netherlands in July 1964, it remained in the hands of its first owner until today. Matching numbers and colors, this is a very rare first hand.
Bodywork:
The body is healthy and not damaged, it has excellent door and hood fit. It is equipped with additional long-range headlights for better visibility at night.
Saddlery:
The black upholstery was restored several years ago, it is still in superb condition today, as well as the black imitation cowling. It is equipped with a superb wooden steering wheel which is associated with the dashboard.
Motor:
Its mechanics are in perfect condition, regularly revised, it is equipped with a large HD8 carburetor. Being European of origin it has its counter in Kilometer / hour.
Gearbox :
The gearbox has been revised. The operation is smooth and the overdrive goes quickly.
Running trains:
The front axle has been revised, very good handling. The behavior of the chassis is perfect. No games or noises are noted. The suspension is perfect. It has chrome rims and new tires.
Brakes:
The Austin Healey is already equipped with front disc brakes. Braking is perfect and in a straight line, all the brakes are coming out of service.
