This highly desirable Phase II example was built in May 1965. An original left-hand- drive model delivered to New York, it was factory-equipped with options that included an adjustable steering column, black tonneau cover, heater, laminated windscreen, luggage rack, a speedometer calibrated in miles per hour, and wire wheels.

As offered now, this car clearly benefits from an exhaustive rotisserie restoration to Austin- Healey Club Concours Gold standards under the prior owner, an Austin-Healey Club judge. New Smyrna Beach, Florida marque specialist Fred Brander performed the restoration, which was completed in 2007. No area of the car was vinyl bag. An original hardcover owner's manual also accompanies the car, along with a photographic CD and a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate. The cover subject of the September 2012 edition of Classic Motorsports, restored to concours-level standards and hardly used since, this vehicle is simply an outstanding example of the highly collectible and immensely enjoyable Big Healey sixes.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
