The description "Off White" for the trim color suggests that it was perhaps originally "Grey" from the factory. That was an available option for a Colorado Red car but relatively rare. Photos of the interior would answer that question.

The engine number quoted (29K/RU/H15432) does not appear original to the chassis number quoted (31692). Rather, it would be original to a chassis number somewhere around 40591 (engine 29K/RU/H15425) or 29K/RU/H15436 (chassis 40757). The original engine for chassis 31692 would be close to 29K/RU/H6484 (chassis 31688).

The build date quoted (15 September 1967) also appears incorrect. Chassis 31688 was built 14 - 20 May 1965. Chassis 31698 was built 7 - 11 May 1965.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
