This 1966 Austin-Healey 3000 BJ8 Mk III was the subject of a refurbishment at some point prior to its purchase by the current owner last year. Finished in Healey Blue and white, the car has a dark blue soft top, a matching boot, and dark blue vinyl upholstery in the cabin. Power is from a 2.9-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and additional equipment includes 15″ knock-off wire wheels, front disc brakes, and a Moto-Lita wood-rimmed steering wheel. Work in March 2026 included overhauling the carburetors and replacing the brake-light switch. This 3000 Mk III is now offered is now offered by the seller, a BaT Local Partner, on behalf of the owner with a recent invoice, a workshop manual, and a New Jersey title in the owner’s name.

The car is finished in Healey Blue (BU2) and white, and it has a dark blue soft top and boot. The brake-light switch was replaced in March 2026.

The 15″ knock-off wire wheels were recently mounted with Michelin tires. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums.

The 2+2 cabin features has been reupholstered in dark blue vinyl with silver piping, blue windlace, and a wooden dashboard. There is a pushbutton radio, and the carpets have areas of discoloration.

The Moto-Lita steering wheel has a wooden rim, while Smiths instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, a combination gauge, and a readout for fuel level. The 2.9-liter inline-six featured dual SU HD8 carburetors from the factory for a rating of 150 horsepower and 173 lb-ft of torque. The carburetor floats, needles, seats, gaskets, and diaphragms were replaced in March 2026 along with the engine oil and drive-belt adjuster.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. The overdrive toggle switch was replaced and the gear oil was changed in March 2026.
