This 1967 Austin-Healey 3000 BJ8 was refurbished under previous ownership in metallic blue over color-coordinated upholstery, and it is powered by a 2.9-liter inline-six linked to a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Equipment includes a blue soft top and top boot, a zip-down rear window, 15″ chrome-plated wire wheels, power-assisted front disc brakes, burl wood dashboard trim, a banjo-style steering wheel, and a Becker Europa TR radio. Acquired by the selling dealer in 2023, this 3000 BJ8 Mk III is now offered with a fabric tonneau cover, a knock-off hammer, and a transferrable New York registration.

The car was refinished in metallic blue under previous ownership and is equipped with a replacement blue soft top, a blue fabric top boot, and chrome-finished bumpers with overriders. A full tonneau cover is included in the sale.

Chrome-finished 15” wire wheels secured by two-eared knock-offs are mounted with 165-series Vredestein Sprint Classic tires that show 2015 production codes. Stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes. Service in preparation for the sale included replacing the steering idler, right king pin and bushings, front brake pads and rotors, front wheel bearings, front axle seals, and leaf spring shackle bushings.

The 2+2 cabin houses low-back front bucket seats and rear jump seats trimmed in blue upholstery along with color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Additional appointments include burl wood dashboard panels, a Becker Europa TR radio, Austin-Healey-branded rubber floor mats, a wood shift knob, and a locking glove compartment.

The banjo-style steering wheel fronts Smith’s instrumentation including a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 48k miles.

The 2.9-liter inline-six features dual SU carburetors and was factory rated at 148 horsepower and 173 lb-ft of torque. The battery was replaced in November 2023.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with an electrically actuated overdrive unit. The driveshaft universal joints and rear transmission mounting bushings were replaced in preparation for the sale, and replacement rear mufflers and tailpipes were installed at that time.
