VIN HBJ8L35652
Exterior Color GREEN
Interior Color TAN
Cylinders 6
Engine Size 2912CC
Transmission 5-SPEED MANUAL

Lot #1405 - A full nut-and-bolt, concours, rotisserie restoration on a 1966 Austin Healey 3000 MK111 by Healey Lane Restoration of Oregon. The exterior color is listed as Ice Green Metallic as listed in an Austin Healey color chip book. The interior is Biscuit leather and vinyl with Wilton wool carpet, as well as a dark green Everflex top and convertible top boot. A new walnut burl dash and a wood steering wheel complete the beautiful interior. All the original fasteners, brackets and linkage were zinc-plated in bright silver. Many parts, including most of the suspension parts, brackets and top frame, were powder-coated for durability. A high-grade PPG two-part paint and primer was used for any parts that needed to be painted. All hydraulics are new, including steel and rubber brake lines. All the electrical system is either new or rebuilt and includes a new wiring harness. All the chrome has either been rechromed or is new. There are five new 60-spoke chrome wheels with SS spokes and has five new matching tires. The windshield and door glass is new. The suspension was taken off the car and disassembled, and new parts were used in the assembly. All four shock absorbers have been rebuilt and new rear springs installed. All rubber parts on the car are new. This was a dry Texas car before restoration.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
