Sellers description:
AUSTIN HEALEY 3000 MARK III PHASE 2, RHD 1966
CHASSIS H-BJ8-L/37209
JUST 8,500 MILES SINCE TOTAL RESTORATION BY MARQUE SPECIALISTS

GOLDEN BEIGE METALLIC OVER OLD ENGLISH WHITE, RED LEATHER INTERIOR

FIA PAPERS FOR HISTORIC RALLY REGULARITY EVENTS

With nearly £40,000 spent in 2014 after its initial total restoration, this is no ordinary Austin Healey. Built to classic rally specification, it would be a perfect car to enjoy regularity rallying events. The Healey's fantastic rallying pedigree cemented its reputation for durability and toughness, recalling the likes of Pat Moss, Ann Wisdom, Timo Makinen and Paddy Hopkirk to name but a few.

Originally manufactured in Abingdon, Berkshire in July 1966, this is one of the last of a long line of illustrious "big" Austin Healeys that helped form the backbone of the hairy-chested English sports car legend. Car collectors today love the Mark III's extra power, wooden dashboard, proper convertible hood and extra rear seats. The overdrive clicks in to shave off 1000 revs, to make spirited road driving relaxing.

This immaculate car comes with the following features:

CHROME WIRE WHEELS WITH 3-EARED SPINNERS
OVERDRIVE
HEATER
MOTO LITA WOODEN STEERING WHEEL
TRIPLE WEBER 45 DCOE CARBURETORS
UNLEADED FUEL CONVERSION
UPRATED CAMSHAFTS
UPGRADED BRAKE PADS
HANDLING KIT AND ANTI ROLL-BARS
LIGHTENED FLYWHEEL AND UPRATED CLUTCH
TELESCOPIC REAR DAMPERS
BRISE STARTER MOTOR
DRIVING LAMPS
SIDE VENTS
BONNET LOUVRES
MESH GRILL
OVERMATS
OIL COOLER KIT
RADIO WITH IPAD CONNECTOR
SEAT BELTS
ALLOY MONZA FUEL CAP
BRADED BRAKE LINES
LEATHER BONNET STRAPS
ALLOY ROCKER COVER
ALLOY TRUMPETS
UPRATED THROTTLE LINKAGE
FACET FUEL PUMP
FOG LIGHT
RALLY SPEC. 6 BRANCH TUBULAR MANIFOLD
STAINLESS STEEL SIDE EXIT SPORTS EXHAUST
ALUMINIUM RADIATOR
ELECTRIC COOLING FAN
BRANTZ RALLY TIMER
FIRE EXTINGUISHER
WAXOYLED UNDERSIDE.

In 1996 this vehicle was restored to such a high standard, that it was the cover star of Classic Cars magazine July 1998 edition. It is presented in an authentic period colour scheme that was unique to the last 500 Austin Healey 3000's to be produced at Abingdon. It is a truly immaculate example.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
