For sale on e-bay: cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/
Offered for sale is a numbers matching, original rust free, final year of production, 1967 Austin Healey BJ8 3000 MK III Roadster, finished in Colorado Red with Black coves. This 3 owner Healey has been well sorted mechanically and presents nicely as a good driver quality car. The car is optioned with its original radio, factory luggage rack, original tonneau cover, and will be sold with its original owners manual, tools, and original spare tire.
The body on the car is straight and the gaps and panel fit is excellent. The car has an older paint job that shows imperfections, but again presents nicely as a driver car. The original wheels are in good shape, the chrome is good, and the tires have plenty of remaining tread. Having benefited from living in a very dry climate, the undercarriage is rust free and original, which is the most significant aspect to focus on when buying an Austin Healey. The original interior shows its patina but presents itself well.
This BJ8 3000 is a very strong driver. The compression is excellent and the car always starts right up and runs cool without any signs of overheating. We have driven the car hard on short driving tours and it has performed up to speed. The original gearbox pulls strong through each of its four gears and handles nicely in the canyons.
