1967 Austin Healey 3000 MKIII Convertible. This is a real 1967 matching numbers car. It was the subject of a recent professional, ground up, nut and bolt, rotisserie restoration by award winning marquee specialist Bmc Classics,Inc. Finished in the original color of Healey blue with blue interior trim. The car comes with its British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate in the name of BMC Classics,Inc, showing the car was built in May 1967. The certificate verifies the car to be numbers matching. numbers, overdrive, and a heater. All work and detailing has been carried out to the highest Austin Healey standards. The car runs and performs flawlessly on the road and is a true pleasure to drive. The car is equally ready for the show field and the open road.

When acquired by BMC Classics in New Smyrna Beach, FL in 2010, was identified as HBJ8L/41762; also when advertised for sale in Healey Marque (Apr 10) by previous owner (18 Apr 74 - 10 Nov 10). The true VIN was found on shock tower by BMC Classics to be HBJ8L/41284.

A BMIHT certificate does not "verify numbers matching". It provides the original manufacturing details for a car with the original identity specified. It cannot verify that a given chassis is correctly identified by its original number, nor whether another chassis has been treated to new VIN, body, and/or engine serial number plates to match the data on the certificate.
