Details: Purchased last year from its longtime California owner, this Austin-Healey 3000 MK III BJ-8 sports convertible has just completed an exceptional rebuild by premier marque specialist Kurt Tanner Restorations. Finished in the extremely attractive and rare factory color scheme of Metallic Golden Beige with red Ambla trim. This car also boasts a 4-speed overdrive gearbox, chrome wire wheels, heater and adjustable steering wheel. Details of its fresh restoration include new bare-metal, show quality, two stage body and paintwork, new chrome, rubber, glass, complete interior with top and boot, walnut dashboard, wiring harness, exhaust, rebuilt engine and ancillaries, wheels and tires, braking system, replated hardware, detailed undercarriage and restored electrics. All work has been professionally carried out to the highest Gold Concours standards with absolute authenticity in mind, and the finest materials have been used. This car is sold with a 5th chrome wheel, knock-off hammer, owner's manual, boot bag, rare jack and handle, and a BMIHT Certificate attesting to its matching numbers and authenticity. This car is a very late production example and is one of the last 500 cars to leave the assembly line in 1967, the big Healeys best and final year.
