Ex Works Austin Healey 3000 Mk 1 # H-BN7/13708

This car, first registered as XJB 871, was prepared by the Works competition department for its debut in the gruelling 1961 Acropolis Rally with Peter Riley and Tony Ambrose as the crew. Later on it was purchased by rally legend Rauno Aaltonen. After Aaltonen the car has had only one 51 years long ownership. This Austin Healey represents a unique opportunity to acquire a historically significant example of a legendary factory team car from a golden era of motorsport.
For sale at RM Sotheby's Monaco auction 14th May 2016. Estimate price 250.000 - 300.000 Euro SOLD

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
