This 1960 Austin-Healey 3000 BN7 Mk I was refurbished around the early 2000s, and it is finished in Healey Blue and Ivory White over blue leather with white piping. The car is powered by a 2.9-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and features include a blue soft top, 15″ knock-off wire wheels, front disc brakes, driving lights, a top boot, a tonneau cover, a hood scoop, detachable side windows, a cabin heater, and bucket seats. This 3000 Mk I was purchased by the seller in 2022 and is now offered with the owner’s manual, literature, a Heritage Trust certificate, spare parts, side curtains, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.

The car came finished from the factory in Healey Blue and has been repainted in two-tone Healey Blue and Ivory White. Driving lights are attached to a front badge bar, and additional features include a removable blue soft top, a top boot, detachable side windows, a tonneau cover, a hood scoop, bright trim, and chrome bumpers with overriders.

The 15″ knock-off wire wheels are mounted with Dunlop tires measuring 5.90-15. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums.

The cabin has been refreshed and features bucket seats that were re-trimmed in blue leather with white piping, and interior appointments include blue carpets, a cabin heater, and door storage pockets.

The banjo-style steering wheel wears a leather cover and frames Smiths white-dial instrumentation consisting of a 120-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, a fuel-level gauge, and a combination gauge displaying oil pressure and water temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 55k miles, approximately 500 of which were added under current ownership.

The 2.9-liter inline-six featured dual SU HD6 carburetors from the factory for a rating of 137 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque. A replacement battery was installed under current ownership.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with Laycock-de Normanville electric overdrive.

The car is titled using the number shown on the reproduction chassis plate.

The British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate lists the factory colors and serial numbers and indicates initial dispatch to the US on April 20, 1960.

Pretty car! My humble opinion, the blue coves are several shades darker than any Healey blue I've ever seen. It doesn't diminish the car whatsoever however I would not use it to judge the correct hue of Healey blue.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
