Engine size 2,912 cc

This particular Healey is a relatively rare BN7 model, one of only 2,825 two-seaters made. As the Heritage Certificate confirms, it was built in early February 1960 and despatched to Portland, Oregon, later that month. Ivory White with black trim, options included overdrive, wire wheels, heater, adjustable steering column and a hard top. The car remained in America for the next 30 years, returning back to the UK in January 1990 with customs papers to show that all duties have been paid.
At some point in the not-too-distant past someone began to restore the car, converting it to RHD and fitting many new parts. The vendor states: "The engine in the car is not that noted on Heritage certificate. It is a 29F series engine (29D on the certificate) and it turns freely by hand. It is incomplete but with many valuable parts in either new or very good condition. The body and structure are very sound, the chassis and floor pan are painted in the original Ivory White.
"The steering and suspension have been refurbished, including a reconditioned RHD steering box, and it has an overdrive side-change gearbox. New parts include aluminium front wings, exhaust system, radiator hoses and throttle pedal. Parts with the car, although not attached to it, include: seat buckets; RHD dash with instruments; dash top; fibre glass boot lid; hood frame; handbrake lever; wiper motor; fuel pump; horn; control unit; grille; bonnet grille; sill trims; rear bumper and window winders."
Being offered here as a straightforward restoration project, it will keep someone gainfully employed over the coming winter months and would be an ideal donor for a rusty or crashed car.
