This 1960 Austin-Healey 3000 BT7 is a four-seat Mk I roadster that is finished in two-tone red and black over black upholstery and is powered by a 2.9L inline-six mated to a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Equipment includes a black soft top, chrome 15″ knock-off wire wheels, front disc brakes, dual SU carburetors, electronic ignition, a gear-reduction starter, and a cabin heater. This Austin-Healey is now offered by the selling dealer with spare and removed parts, a knock-off hammer, a black tonneau cover, removable side curtains, manufacturer’s literature, and a clean Pennsylvania title.
The car is finished in red and black and was repainted around 2004. Exterior details include a black soft top with a matching tonneau cover, Cibie headlight, fender-mounted side mirrors, removable sliding side windows, and twin exhaust outlets.
Chrome-finished 15″ wire wheels are secured by two-eared knock-off spinners and are mounted with 165-series Vredestein Sprint Classic tires. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums.
The cabin is equipped with low-back front bucket seats and individual rear seats trimmed in black upholstery with red piping. Additional equipment includes black Austin-Healey-branded floor mats, a passenger-side dash grab handle, lap belts, a dash-mounted rearview mirror, and a cabin heater.
A banjo-style steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation that includes a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 16k miles and true mileage is unknown.
The 2.9-liter inline-six is fed by dual SU carburetors and fitted with electronic ignition and a gear-reduction starter. The battery was replaced in November 2022.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive.
Sold for $38,000 on 1/3/24
