Ebay item 11/3/08
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Austin-Healey-3000-BT7-1960-Austin-Healey-3000-BT7_W0QQi ...
Opening bid $29,900, no bids yet, 4 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
Unlike the “convertible” of later years, the BT7 is the true roaster with new snap-on side curtains, minimal government mandated upgrades and the low, sleek silhouette of a true classic sports care.

This car is in outstanding condition, driven weekly and meticulously cared for. It has had three owners since new, being owned by a physician for thirty of those years.

I have never failed to Trophy at a show. The most prestigious shows were the All British Car day in Dallas, Texas where it placed 2nd in 2006 and 2008, and the Cooper Aerobics Center show where it won Best of Show over Ferraris, Porsches and other exotics.

Since purchasing the car, I’ve:
* Completely dismantled and repainted at a cost of $6,000.00.
* Added 60 spoke chrome Dayton wire wheels to improve the ride, which is excellent.
* I do not trailer this car. I drive 65 to 75 miles per hour to Dallas shows, which is about 250 round trip from home.
* The top and side curtains are new, and the navy blue interior is in excellent condition, as is the truck areas.
* The engine is strong, with absolutely no overheating issues. Oil pressure holds steady at 40 to 60 lbs and compression is good.

This car is truly drivable, useable, enjoyable and showable in classic Healey Blue over Ivory.

Hello,
My name is Bruce Block. My siblings and I are having a big 50th Anniversary for our folks in December. We are looking for an Austin Healy in this year range to have for show at this event because that is what our Dad drove back when he met our Mom in Layfayette, Indiana. I know this is just a shot in the dark because I am not sure where you are located, or if you would be interested or if this is even possible? But, my motto that has worked for us so far in this event planning is... "it doesn't hurt to ask!" ha ha.
We are located outside of Beaumont Texas.
I appreciate your time reading this note and I hope it is a possibility we can talk about. Feel free to email me or call me. My cell phone number is 409 656 9295.

Thanks again, Bruce

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
