This 1962 Austin-Healey 3000 BT7 Mk II was refurbished prior to the seller’s 2024 acquisition and is powered by a 2.9-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Its white finish is complemented by a black soft top and black leather upholstery with white piping. Equipment includes triple carburetors, 15″ knock-off wire wheels, front disc brakes, a hood scoop, a push-button radio, and a cabin heater. This 3000 Mk II is now offered with a binder of refurbishment records, a tonneau cover, detachable side windows, and a clean New Jersey title in the seller’s name.
Refinished in its current shade of white as part of the refurbishment work, the car is equipped with a replacement black soft top, a hood scoop, bright trim, and chrome bumpers with overriders. A tonneau cover and detachable side windows are included in the sale.
Knock-off 15″ wire wheels are mounted with Petlas Elegant PT311 tires. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums.
The refreshed 2+2 cabin features bucket seats trimmed in black leather with white piping, and appointments include a Realistic push-button AM/FM radio, a cabin heater, and door storage pockets.
The banjo-style steering wheel frames Smiths white-dial instrumentation consisting of a 120-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, a fuel-level gauge, and a combination gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 32k miles, approximately 200 of which were added under current ownership. The seller states the mileage is not accurate, and total mileage is unknown.
The 2.9-liter inline-six featured triple SU HS4 carburetors from the factory for a rating of 136 horsepower and 167 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with Laycock de Normanville electric overdrive. The gearbox was overhauled during the refurbishment work.
Refurbishment photos and records are included in the sale.
