Do you want a classic British roadster with smooth body lines? Check out this beautiful 1962 Austin-Healey 3000 BT7 Roadster that has had a comprehensive nut and bolt restoration, finished in the most desirable color combination!

The car’s black paint and chrome trim are in excellent order overall with very minor blemishes visible only at very close range. The car’s bodywork is straight and solid, the engine bay is very immaculate. The Super Start battery, chrome bumpers are in very good order, as is the cargo area. The car has a black folding soft top and comes with its original tonneau cover and sliding glass side curtains for inclement weather.

This roadster rolls on Classic LL800 radials, size 165/80R15 at all four corners. Each tire is a mounted tau-spoke wire wheels with spinning center caps. The wheels and tires are in very good order.

Under the hood is a C-series cast iron straight six-cylinder engine with triple sidedraft carburetors and chock full of torque. Married to this motor is an Austin Westminster four-speed manual transmission with overdrive and a 3.91:1 rear end.

Inside, the Connolly red leather bucket seats and rear demi-bench seats look great and contrast nicely with the exterior color. The matching red wilton wool style carpet is in similar shape. A black, three-spoke steering wheel faces the driver. The instrument panel and inner door liners are all in excellent shape while the center console is in very good order. A floor-mounted shifter on the transmission tunnel completes the interior.

Engines fitted with three SU HS4 carburetors (total area 5.3 sq. inches) and an improved camshaft were announced at the end of May 1961. Other changes included a vertical barred front grille. Optional extras were similar to the Mark I.

Competition to this Austin in 1962 included Alfa Romeo’s 2000 Spider and Jaguar’s XK-150.

The big Healey was the choice of sports car racers during the 1950s and 1960s and this car is the perfect companion to peep fall foliage on a Vermont or Colorado highway, this ’62 Austin-Healey 3000 is quite the looker and ready for your next adventure. Stop by MotoeXotica Classic Cars today and check this roadster out for yourself!
