1962 Austin-Healey 3000 MkII

Chassis Number: HBT7L1939

MOT ExpiryDate: Sept 2005

This 1962-manufactured Austin-Healey 3000, a right-hand drive Mk2, with red 2+2 open bodywork and black leather interior, has been in receipt, we are told, of a total overhaul by leading marque specialist for these character British sportscars, John Chatham, since when it is claimed to have only done 7300 miles. The specification should impress the Healey 3000 aficionado, including as it does competition 72-spoke wire wheels and racing harnesses.

The triple carburettor equipped 2912cc six-cylinder engine is said to be in very good condition, whilst the manual gearbox with overdrive transmission is reportedly also in good order. The electrical equipment is rated as being very good, too, with both paintwork and interior also good.

We understand that within the documents file, which may be inspected during viewing at Stoneleigh, are bills amounting to some £10,000 charting work done. Also supplied are a hood, described as being in good order, as well as tonneau cover and bumpers.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
