Private Party or Dealer: Dealer
This 1960 Austin-Healey 3000 Mark I was acquired by the current owner 20 years ago and is finished in Healey Blue over a blue interior. Power is from a 2,912cc inline-six mated to a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Modifications include Hella driving lights and the removal of the front and rear bumpers. This four-seat BT7 is now offered by the selling dealer on behalf of the current owner with parts receipts, hard and soft tops, removed bumpers, an extra set of wire wheels, a tonneau cover, a BMIHT certificate, and a clean Tennessee title.
The body was reportedly refinished in Healey Blue due to color fade. The seller notes corrosion at the right front of the car. The front and rear bumpers were removed by the current owner and are included in the sale.
The cabin features a 2+2 layout and is upholstered in blue with color-matching carpets and door panels. The car features a heater and an adjustable steering column.
A banjo-style steering wheel fronts Smiths gauges that include a 120-mph speedometer and a 6k-rpm tachometer. The five-digit odometer shows 16k miles but is stated to be inaccurate. The seller estimates that approximately 5k miles have been added under current ownership.
The 2.9-liter inline-six features dual SU carburetors, and the rear wheels are driven through a four-speed manual transmission with electric overdrive. An oil change reportedly was performed four months ago.
Included in the sale are an extra set of wire wheels, factory front and rear bumpers, a soft top, and a hard top. The hard top is said to require adjustments to install since it has not been fitted to the car in some time.
A certificate from the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust indicates that this car was originally shipped to Los Angeles in January 1960 finished in Healey Blue with a blue interior and matching convertible top. Factory-fitted equipment included wire wheels, a heater, an adjustable steering column, a laminated windshield, and overdrive.
Parts receipts and service invoices are included in the sale.
