This 1955 Austin-Healey 100 BN1 roadster is finished in metallic blue over blue leather and is powered by a rebuilt 2.7-liter inline-four paired with a rebuilt three-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Equipment includes a blue soft top, chrome bumpers with overriders, dual side mirrors, a tilting windscreen, a dash-mounted rearview mirror, and a passenger-side grab handle. The car was acquired by the owner’s father in 1962, and a refurbishment work has consisted of repainting the body, reupholstering the interior, and rebuilding the engine, transmission, suspension, and brakes. This BN1 Roadster is offered on dealer consignment with side curtains, service records, service manuals, and a clean California state title in the owner’s name.
The car is finished in metallic blue and has been repainted. The blue soft top has reportedly been replaced, and exterior features include chrome bumpers with overriders, dual side mirrors, and a tilting windscreen. The left rear quarter panel was repaired in 2010. A pair of side curtains will accompany the car.
Silver 15″ knock-off wire wheels are wrapped in 165/80 Nexen SB-802 tires. The suspension and steering systems have reportedly been rebuilt, and stopping power is provided by drum brakes. A spare and jack are included in the sale.
The cabin features low-back bucket seats trimmed in blue leather joined by matching carpets and door panels. Features include a dash-mounted rearview mirror, lap belts, and a passenger-side grab handle. The carpets have been replaced, and the heater core was bypassed in March 2021. Rust in the cabin compartment was treated in 2010.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts Smiths and Lucas instrumentation that includes a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer indicates 22k miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The 2.7-liter inline-four was rebuilt in 1982 and features electronic ignition and twin SU carburetors. The wiring harness was replaced in 2012.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a rebuilt three-speed manual transmission with overdrive on second and third gears.
