This 1956 Austin-Healey 100 BN2 roadster is said to have been refurbished and modified with a 100M Le Mans conversion kit under previous ownership. The car is finished in red and black over black leather and powered by a 2,660cc inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Features include a louvered hood secured with a leather tie-down strap, an adjustable reclining windshield, a black soft top, side curtains, twin SU carburetors, 15″ wire wheels with knockoffs, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, and a cabin heater. This 100 BN2 Roadster is offered in Colorado with a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate, an owner’s handbook, a tool kit, spare parts, and a clean Montana title in the name of the seller’s LLC.
The car was factory finished in black and was repainted in its current red-over-black scheme during a refurbishment that is said to have been completed under previous ownership in 1988. A Le Mans kit louvered hood and leather belt are fitted, and additional equipment consists of a black soft top, removable side curtains, an adjustable windshield, standing fog lights, and chrome bumpers with overriders.
Painted 15″ knock-off wire wheels wear Dunlop Road Speed RS5 tires.
The car left the factory with a red interior and now features bucket seats upholstered in black leather joined by matching door panels and carpeting. Additional equipment includes a cabin heater, a passenger-side grab handle, bright trim, and a dash-mounted rearview mirror.
A wood-rimmed steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 581 miles, approximately 50 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 2,660cc inline-four features Le Mans kit components installed under previous ownership including dual SU carburetors, unique inlet manifolds, and a higher-flow airbox with a Le Mans Modification Kit badge. The cylinder head bolts were torqued and the hose clamps were replaced during a 2022 service.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive.
The British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate indicates a build date of September 19, 1955, as well as factory equipment and serial numbers.
The data tag indicates a serial number of BN2L228559 while the Montana title shows a VIN of 228559.
