Car to be at auction 5/11
www.historics.co.uk/buying/online-catalogue/austin-healey-bn4.aspx

Auction description:
Auction Date: 18 May 2011
Lot 215 - 1958 Austin Healey 100/6 BN4
Registration: WVS 962
Chassis Number: BN4-L-0/56856
Engine Number: 26D-RU-H/56856
Odometer reading: tbc
Estimate: £25,000-£30,000

This fine example has led a busy life over the last 40 odd years, with registration documents in the history file detailing Certificate of Title in Washington, import documents (C&E386) back into the UK, various photographs showing an engine out rebuild at some point in its life and many bills and invoices for works done, both simple and extensive. Presented in the classic Healey metallic blue over Old English White with a matching blue interior, this US car has since been converted from left to righthand drive and still comes with the options that were originally specified for it; wire wheels, overdrive, heater and laminated windscreen. Complete with a 8 month MoT test certificate, original drivers handbook, parts catalogue and a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate attesting to its authenticity, this icon of 'Britishness' represents great value for money as well as good quality.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
