This 1967 Austin-Healey 3000 BJ8 Mk III was originally delivered to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and was purchased by the seller in 1989. The car is finished in Ivory White over a black interior, and a black replacement convertible top was installed last year. Power comes from a 2.9-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual gearbox with overdrive, and maintenance in 2019 included replacing the brake and clutch master cylinders, brake booster, radiator fan blade, tires, and more. This BJ8 is now offered with a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate, service records from the seller, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
Factory 15″ wire wheels wear 165/80 Vredestein Sprint Classic tires that were installed in July 2019. One of the wire wheels was also replaced at that time, along with the brake booster, rear wheel cylinders, brake and clutch master cylinders, and the lower control arm bushings.
The interior is trimmed in black with matching carpets and burl wood dash panels. The dash pad is warped and separating, and the rear-view mirror is a replacement item.
A wood-rimmed Moto-Lita steering wheel fronts factory Smiths instrumentation, including a 140-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and a five digit odometer that shows 76k miles, approximately 5k of which were added under current ownership..
The 2.9-liter C-series inline-six features twin SU carburetors and was factory-rated at 150 horsepower and 158 lb-ft of torque. A service performed by Glenn’s MG Repair of St. Petersburg, Florida in July 2019 included a new plastic cooling fan, a radiator flush, new spark plugs and wires, and a timing adjustment. The carburetors were rebuilt and the fuel pump replaced in 2017, and additional maintenance.
The British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate shows a build date in July 1966 and lists the original colors, equipment, and powertrain numbers.
Exhaust gases exit through a stainless system with dual tips.

The Destination given on the certificate for North American cars is the Port of Entry, not necessarily the location of the selling dealer.
