I think the car was origanally from the USA given the L in the chassis number, but it is believed some cars came to Australia with the L as the order was changed after the car was started. An Australian web site has more detail. Are there any web sites that can track where a car was originally purchased, knowing the chassis number?
This car came from Sydney NSW and was already restored in about 1999, it was raffled by Eltham College about this time, but I cannot track it back any further,,,any advice fron anyone on how to do this.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
