One of the earliest 1962 Tri-Carb Healeys built (April 21, 1961) and shipped to the US on May 17, 1961.
Probably one of the best documented cars as well! Sold new to James Pergola representing Fox Movietone News of Miami, FL on June 16, 1961. Sold by Hambro Auto Corporation of New York City. Subsequently it was sold to an Eastern Airlines pilot, George Reeves, who placed in storage near the Miami airport where it remained untouched for forty six years! This 29,000 mile example still retains its as built combination of Colorado Red exterior, Original Red leather piped in black interior, Black soft top and tonneau cover and factory side curtains. Cosmetically it is outstanding and with only 29,000 miles since new it is mechanically very sound. Fully functioning electric overdrive in 3rd and 4th gears as well as carrying excellent oil pressure and that unmistakable Big Healey sound make her a true pleasure to drive! Documented by British Motor Industry Heritage Trust she retains all matching numbers mechanics. All five painted wire wheels are original to the car as well. It is accompanied by all of the documentation as well as an Owner's Manual and work shop manual. This car was discovered, rescued and brought back to life by a good friend here in Vero Beach, FL
