The previous lady owner of this 1959 Austin Healey 3000 Mk 1 obviously cherished this car during her ownership of the last five years and describes the car as being between very good and excellent condition throughout.

During her ownership of the car, one of the most desirable of all British sports cars, she has done lots to improve it including a new clutch, half wiring loom, new fuel pump, starter motor, new battery, water pump, front exhaust and new dampers. She has also had the car fully resprayed and the gearbox rebuilt all at great expense.

This delightful car is painted in Red and has comes with Black trim and it is the manual four speed with overdrive. The M.O.T. test is current until November of this year and this left hand drive car was imported some years ago from the dry state of Arizona.

The presen owner, who bought it from us some time ago, has improved it even further by spending in excess of £1500 recently. It has had a new hood, a new tonneau cover, a new interior, new wheels and tyres and a new overdrive gearbox. We are informed by him that the body is now in perfect condition and the engine is very quiet, with the manufacturers oil pressure showing and he further states that it drives very well indeed.

A lovely car which will reward the new owner handsomely.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
